CERRITOS, CA - Isuzu Commercial Truck of America (ICTA) has celebrated the 25th anniversary of Isuzu trucks in the U.S. market with a ceremony at the American Truck Dealers (ATD) convention. The first Isuzu truck, a KS-22, arrived in America in March 1984 with a retail price of $9,995. Still operational, the truck has been restored for display purposes.
Isuzu trucks have been the best-selling low cab forward brand in the U.S. every year since 1986. Of the 400,000 Isuzu-built diesel trucks sold in North America since their first arrival, more than 83 percent are still registered and in service today.
At the ceremony marking the event, Kazuya Igeta, President of ICTA said "Isuzu is proud of this milestone. It is an excellent match to Isuzu's worldwide heritage and commitment to quality."

Shaun Skinner, Executive VP and General Manger added, "Our success has come from not only a great product, but also the dedication of our U.S. dealers to support this line in order to deliver the lowest cost of ownership possible."
Isuzu low cab forward trucks are distributed through 205 Isuzu truck dealers and 350 GM W-Series dealers nationwide. Isuzu holds more than 70-percent market share of the total LCF market.
