Continental Announces Fleet Emergency Service Program

LOUISVILLE, KY - Managing nationwide emergency road service needs for owner-operators and small fleet owners has become easier and more cost-effective, thanks to Continental Tire North America, Inc.'s (CTNA) new ContiFleetSM program, announced at the Mid-America Trucking Show.
Clif Armstrong, director of commercial vehicle tire marketing for Continental Tire - The Americas, said Continental will provide a single source program for emergency road service, including guaranteed member pricing for tire and road service, access to towing and mechanical work and tire maintenance best practices.
The ContiFleet program is a membership program for commercial vehicle fleets and owner operators who do not qualify for other national road service programs and helps those smaller fleets control their road service costs, Armstrong said. With a 24-hour, seven-day per week hotline, ContiFleet dispatches emergency road services when members call a toll-free number. Membership in the program is free.
Armstrong said ContiFleet will allow members peace of mind that they will receive guaranteed pricing when they are most vulnerable - during a breakdown on the road.
"It is difficult for small fleets and owner-operators to know who they're dealing with when they need service the most. With ContiFleet, members only have to call one hotline to know that they will receive the road service they need and still keep costs under control," Armstrong explained.
The ContiFleet program also provides a Web site for members to access tire and repair information, learn fuel saving information and receive updates on Continental products and services. Members can also receive monthly reports that track each breakdown and the time it took to complete the service.
