Continental Will Raise Truck Tire Prices on July 1

ARTICLE TOOLS        | E-MailPrint

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Continental Tire North America Inc. will raise commercial tire prices effective Jul. 1. The increases, up to eight percent, will apply to Continental, General, Semperit, and all private brand truck tires, according to Modern Tire Dealer magazine.

According to Continental, the increases are in response to the “unprecedented (cost) escalation of raw materials that are used in making radial truck tires, such as natural rubber, steel, carbon black, and crude oil.”

The company last raised truck tire prices Feb. 1. The increases maxed out at six percent.
