MHC Kenworth – Kansas CityNamed 2007 Kenworth Medium-Duty Dealer of Year

KIRKLAND, WA – MHC Kenworth – Kansas City was named 2007 Kenworth Medium-Duty Dealer of the Year for the United States and Canada at the annual Kenworth Dealer Meeting held recently in San Diego. 

“MHC Kenworth – Kansas City is a leader among the Kenworth dealer network that has made an outstanding commitment to medium-duty customers with investments in parts, service, and personnel,” said Bob Christensen, Kenworth general manager and PACCAR vice president.

The other four Kenworth dealer finalists recognized in the medium-duty category at the meeting were Inland Kenworth – U.S. (California, Arizona, and New Mexico), Kenworth of Birmingham, MHC Kenworth (Texas), and Kenworth Toronto.

Fuel Continues to be the No. 1 Threat to Fleet

The number one threat to fleets continues to be the price of fuel, despite the fact that fuel prices have been declining due to the global economic slowdown. Year-to-date, the cost of fuel has increased 30 percent in 2008 compared to 2007. The Energy Information Administration is projecting fuel to average $3.82 per gallon in calendar-year 2009.
