LOUISVILLE, KY - Cummins Inc. announced the newest collection of driver education materials designed for customers of Cummins EPA 2010 on-highway engines. The multimedia driver training lineup includes a DVD, a CD, and a Tips Card that enable customers to learn about engine features, the Cummins Aftertreatment System, and operating suggestions. With multiple communication media available, fleets and drivers are able to tailor the training to their unique needs and learning preferences.
The Cummins Driver Training DVD provides segments on maximizing fuel economy, utilizing Cummins engine features such as Load-Based Speed Control (LBSC) and familiarizing drivers with the Cummins Aftertreatment System, which incorporates Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. The DVD is an ideal audiovisual tool for explaining and visualizing information about Cummins EPA 2010 engines.
The audio-only format of the Cummins Radio CD addresses similar fuel economy, aftertreatment and engine-related topics as the Driver Training DVD and is designed to be a distraction-free option for operators to learn while driving.
Cummins popular Driver Tips Card is a one-stop shop for operators when a quick reference is needed for information regarding dash lamps, required driver actions and what to expect from their Cummins EPA 2010 engine and aftertreatment system.
"Cummins strives to ensure that our customers are well equipped with practical information about our EPA 2010 engines; we realize that well-informed drivers result in better performance for our customers' business," said Jeff Jones, Vice President - Sales and Market Communications.
Customers can access the wide array of Cummins driver training tools by contacting their local Cummins dealer or distributor and asking for the Cummins Driver Training DVD, Cummins Radio CD or Cummins Driver Tips Card. The Driver Tips Card and segments from the Driver Training DVD can be viewed at everytime.cummins.com by clicking the "Customer Center" tab and selecting the "Driver Training" link.
